INGREDIENTS

1 (9 inch) pie crusts, baked
3 cups total milk
3⁄4 cup white sugar
1⁄3 cup all-purpose flour

3 egg yolks, barely beaten
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 bananas

 

 

DIRECTIONS:

Have baked 9-inch pie shell ready.
In a giant saucepan, scald the milk.
In some other saucepan, mix the sugar, flour and salt; steadily stir in the scalded milk.
Over medium heat, stirring constantly, prepare dinner till thickened.
Cover and, stirring occasionally, cook dinner for two minutes longer.
In a small bowl, have the three egg yolks, barely beaten, ready; stir a small quantity of the warm combination into overwhelmed yolks; when completely combined, stir yolks into warm mixture.
Cook for one minute longer, stirring constantly.
Remove from warmness and combo in the butter and vanilla.
Let take a seat till lukewarm.
